Tips for shelling peas
- Wash peas and beans before
shelling to remove dirt and debris.
- Shell peas and beans that are mature & ripe.
Peas that are too small or immature may not shell well. The test
you can use is this: "If your peas are too immature to shell by hand,
they are too small for this electric pea sheller."
- Pick peas and beans one day, then
shell them the next day.
- Soak the peas or beans in water
for a few minutes before shelling.
- It may be helpful to pull
some hulls on through rollers carefully from time to time.
- Blanch the hulls in boiling water
for 1 to 4 minutes. Then cool quickly in cold water and shell.
Mr. Pea Sheller is guaranteed for
one year against defects in parts and manufacturing not caused by
abnormal operating practices. |
